What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way for you to forge a relationship directly with the farmer who grows your food. You share in the bounty of the season alongside the farmer. Commitment to a CSA happens before the season begins and helps the farmer off-set some of the costs for seed and other starting costs. As seasonal produce matures during the growing season, you will pick up what is available.
What to expect from your veggie CSA share:
Each week (or every other week if you've signed up for a half share) you will come to the farm and pick up 6-12 lbs of seasonal produce. This size is adequate for feeding about 2-3 people.
Additionally, there will be u-pick crops such as string beans, flowers, and more throughout the season.
What to expect from your flower CSA share:
Each week (or every other week if you've signed up for a half share) you will come to the farm and pick up an entirely chemical-free farm grown bouquet of 18-25 stems.
Our bouquet typically last approx 10 days if kept out of direct sunlight/heat and you change the water every day.
Pasture-raised Chicken Add-on:
You can add-on a chicken share to any CSA selection.
A chicken share is TWO pasture-raised chickens, raised here on our farm, and freshly harvested twice throughout the season
(usually July and early September).
